Search
How the search works, and how to ask it for less.
Writing a query
Search runs over the full text of every hadith — narrator and body — and ranks by relevance rather than by position in the collection.
Results stay on screen while you read one. There is nothing to go back to, because opening a result never takes you away from the list.
- Quote a phrase to require it exactly: "seek help through patience"
- Put a minus in front of a word to exclude it: patience -fasting
- Write or between alternatives: patience or perseverance
- Arabic queries search the Arabic text; English queries search the translation
Why the count sometimes shows a plus
A common word matches thousands of hadith and nobody reads to result four thousand, so counting stops at a hundred. A result count shown as 100+ means the ranking is complete but the tally was capped.
